Practices

All practices may be offered in conjunction with one another or independently

Movement

My 200 hr YTT is vinyasa based. That being said, the movement I often practice follows a slower rhythm and more mindful, restorative approach. I often use props to help support my clients in their movement and allow them to become more comfortable with shifting the body in new ways.

When working individually with clients, I go through movements that will align with my clients’ individual goals. Whatever movements or shapes we take, will be accessible for your specific needs and can also easily be practiced on your own so you can build your skill set without future guidance.

Group movement may follow the same restorative slow approach, but it can also be more of a vinyasa style practice!

Breath Work

Through our breath we can start to take a hold of our body’s responses and our own experiences. With all clients, individual or group, we start by becoming familiar with our breath and learn how to recognize our connection to our breathing throughout each day.

Once we can know our breath, we can start to change it. For individual clients, we will go through breath patterns and exercises specific to your goals, needs and abilities. These patterns can be used in a variety of settings. Most of the breath work I teach is gentle and calming, teaching you how to control your nervous system. Breath work can also be used for releasing stored emotions and working through trauma. If you are looking to use breath to work through significant trauma, I will be happy to work with you in tandem with a clinical mental health professional, so that you can get the most out of this work in a safe way.

Breath work in groups can focus on calming effects, energizing and releasing, but will not be so intense as to bring up stored trauma. I do not offer trauma, releasing breath work in a group setting.

Reiki

Reiki is energetic healing using Life Force Energy through a practitioners hands.

As an attuned Reiki practitioner, I practice reiki by either hovering my hands over various parts of the body, or gently placing my hands on the body. I generally do both during a session, however if you have a preference, I will only hover or place my hands. Reiki is a very meditative practice that can be used for emotional, energetic, spiritual and physical healing. Reiki can be offered in-person or virtually.

Reiki can be practiced individually or as a group, the preference is yours!
